CLF Responds to Support Global Emergency Relief Efforts

CLF responds to recent natural disasters and encourages others to join in supporting relief efforts.

The Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF) is responding to the tragic natural disasters that have affected the southern United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean over the past month. CLF is committed to responding to natural disasters and working with trusted emergency response partners on the ground to help during times of crises.
CLF responded immediately in the wake of Hurricane Harvey with a grant to Feeding America in support of Texas food banks, mobilizing supplies for the families impacted. CLF is also working with UNICEF USA to provide support for children affected by the Mexico earthquakes.

In the aftermath of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, CLF ensured that critical supplies such as solar lanterns reached affected communities in Puerto Rico and that the U.S. Virgin Islands receive medical supplies and food that are needed. CLF encourages those eager to support these response efforts to join and support relief efforts around the world:

Historically, Rihanna and CLF have responded to disasters across the globe from the Hurricane Sandy in United States to Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. CLF was one of the first funders of relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Matthew in Haiti in November 2016. CLF thoroughly evaluates emergency response programming and the foundation is particularly focused on ensuring education and health resources are available in times of emergency. It’s paramount to partner with organizations and programs that bridge the gap between crisis response and long-term development.
